Year 1 and 2 trip to the BBC Earth Experience
To link in with our topic of Animals in Different Habitats in science, Year 1 and 2 went to the BBC Earth Experience at West Brompton.
The children had lunch in the grounds of the experience and had a chance to play with the outdoor games.
Once inside the class were given rules to follow by our guide and told how the whole building was made from recycled material. Then we sat down to enjoy our show through different continents and finding out about the animals that live there. At times it felt like we were right there and the animals were next to us!
The class was then able to get hands on and find out more about different minibeasts in the UK.
A great time was had by everyone and we were lucky enough to get a sunny day to enjoy it.
